Christmas Eve – Thursday 24th December 2009
After a Lakeland breakfast, why not visit the famous town of Kendal or take a stroll to the Village of Ambleside giving you the chance to do any last minute shopping.
This afternoon - full afternoon tea will be served accompanied by several games of “Bingo”.
At 5pm the little ones amongst us will have the chance to join “Sam” the dog and sprinkle Reindeer sparkles round the ground, so Santa knows where to drop those all important gifts followed by children’s high tea.
Children don’t forget to post your Santa letters in Sam’s post box this evening and follow Santa around the world with our GPS screen which tracks his every move around the world.
Your host Nevil Jeffery and his team welcome you this evening to a Champagne and canapé reception where you will have a chance to meet friends old and new to the sound of our Carol Singers whom set the mood for a 5 course gourmet dinner in our “Ever Changing” festive restaurant. (Truly a breath taking site to see, it sparkles with Christmas in the air
Taxi transportation can be organised on arrival for those guests wishing to partake in Mid-Night Mass with services available in Ambleside. Upon your return mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies will be served.
Christmas Day – Friday 25th December 2009
A very Merry Christmas Day will begin with a Lakeland Buck Fizz Breakfast when all children receive a Santa sack – filled with treats and entertaining games.
Santa knows your location so venture out for a brisk stroll along the water edge or on the Lakeland fells bearing in mind the anticipated visit of “Santa” and his helpers, bearing gifts for all the children, where he will also judge the best Christmas Tree decoration which will adorn our 18ft tree.
Traditional Christmas Luncheon with seasonal cheer, crackers to pull, hat to don and all the trimmings in the surroundings of the Windermere Restaurant. The remainder of the day is yours to relax, with the queen’s speech being televised accompanied by Christmas cake and Tea.
7.30pm is our vibrant “Las Vegas” casino night for all ages with prizes to be won and a seafood buffet taking centre stage which also includes half bottle of house wine per person.
Boxing Day – Saturday 26th December 2009
Start the day in true Cumbrian tradition with a full English breakfast. Today we have left free for you either to discover, or revisit the delights that the glorious Lake District has to offer. Alternatively, you may wish to take part in one of our house quiz’s which always get the grey matter going.
This evening commences with Champagne and canapés prior to our formal 7 course Gala Dinner which concludes with our famous Cumbria Cheese Board, accompanied by a glass of Port. Remember your dancing shoes this evening as our resident DJ helps all to trip the light fantastic into the wee small hours.
(Tables this evening are formal banquet style of 8 or more dependant of party size)

Wednesday 30th December 2009
After a Lakeland breakfast, why not visit the famous town of Kendal or take a stroll to the Village of Ambleside giving you the chance to do explore all that this area has to offer.
Returning in the afternoon when Scones, jam and clotted cream accompanied by smoked salmon finger sandwiches and a glass of Champagne to enjoy as you take in the breathtaking Lakeland views.
Celebrations this evening begin with an invitation from Nevil Jeffery and his team to a Champagne and canapé reception where you will have a chance to meet friends old and new. A sumptuous three course dinner will be served prior to the evening concluding with our traditional night of Casino tables and prizes to be won.
New Years Eve – Thursday 31st December 2009
Start the day in true Cumbrian tradition, with a hearty Lakeland breakfast. Today enjoy the stunning and breath taking scenery of the glorious English Lakeland countryside by enjoying the rest of the day to explore the area after enjoying a light buffet luncheon at noon in the Windermere Restaurant.
Champagne is flowing again this year, prior to our New Year 6 Course Hogmanay Gala Dinner.
(Dress code this evening is black tie)
Our discos will increase the tempo until the sounds of Big Ben at midnight. A private fireworks display, the lone piper, along with Auld Land Syne and the sound of Champagne corks popping will finally confirm the arrival of the Year 2010 the year of Tiger.
New Year’s Day – Friday 1st January 2010
Sadly, all great house parties must come to an end, this being the case and the after effects of partying well into the small hours, we serve a Cumbrian brunch from 9am through to noon.
