Our Dalton Suite can host Wedding Celebrations for the small and intimate gathering, to receptions catering for up to 100 guests. For larger numbers our new Bowland Suite is available, enabling up to 140 guests to enjoy the benefits of a Wedding celebration at a prestigious hotel.
The hire of our Dalton Suite is complimentary for an event of 60 or more guests and the Bowland Suite for an event of 80 or more guests when choosing our minimum menu Package A. Should your occasion not reach these requirements, a minimal room hire charge will be made.

Seasonal Requirements
When booking a Wedding Reception on a Saturday from May to September our minimum requirements are as follows:-
- Minimum catering numbers of 60 in the Dalton Suite, and 80 in the Bowland Suite, based on the minimum menu price of of menu A.
- Should you not meet these numbers there will be a small room hire charge of £250 for the Dalton Suite, and £400 for the Bowland Suite
- A full Drinks Package, Wedding Breakfast and Evening buffet must be taken for all guests.
Special Offers
As Saturday is no longer always the first choice for your Wedding Celebrations we have put together the following incentives:-
- Book your Wedding reception on a Friday and receive a 10% discount on your Wedding breakfast menu and Chair Cover Hire.
- Alternatively book your celebrations for a Sunday and receive a 20% discount on you Wedding Breakfast and our chair cover hire.
Concessionary Accommodation Rates for your Wedding Guests at Lancaster House Hotel
With so much to plan and organise, the last thing you want to worry about is organising hotel accommodation for everyone. So, with the benefits of the internet and some great discounts, you can relax with the peace of mind that friends and family can make a full day and night of it.
Upon confirmation of your event, we can allocate up to 5 bedrooms* for your immediate close family and friends at a fixed price of 50% off the current published tariff. Your guests can then either book online for the best available rate with great discounts for early booking**. Alternatively, we guarantee up to 40% off the published tariff for one-night stays or up to 50% off for a minimum 2-night stay if your guests phone the hotel direct quoting your wedding reference should online discounts no longer be available.
All bedrooms are subject to hotel availability so early booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment. However, should the hotel be full, we would be delighted to recommend alternative nearby accommodation.
*Any rooms in the 5-bedroom allocation that have not been booked will be released 8 weeks prior to the date of your wedding.
** The hotel reserves the right to use third party websites at discounts greater than the agreed wedding discounts to sell last minute hotel availability.
Civil Wedding Licence
We are delighted to announce that the Lancaster House Hotel has been officially approved by Lancashire County Council to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies on the premises.
Should you be considering holding your Wedding Ceremony at the hotel, then the following information will be of assistance to you:
- Before confirming a date with us you must check the availability of the Registrar who actually conducts the marriage ceremony:

- All costs relating to the attendance of the Registrar at a marriage ceremony must be paid before the ceremony, directly to the Registrar.
- These costs are as follows (inc certificate copy of the entry of marriage):
- Attendance of Registrar
- Monday-Thursday £230.00
- Friday £250.00
- Saturday £300.00
- Sunday and Bank Holidays £380.00
- Notice of Marriage (each) £30.00
The Hotel’s Dalton Suite and Bowland Suite have been specially approved for Wedding Ceremonies both of which are on the ground floor and are accessible to guests with disabilities. The Dalton Suite can accommodate a ceremony for up to 100 people and the Bowland Suite can accommodate up to 140 people
The cost for holding the ceremony within the Hotel will be £295.00 exc. VAT for the Dalton or the Bowland Suite and these costs are payable before the event.
There will be a further charge should your Ceremony not be followed by a Wedding Breakfast.

Banqueting Menu Selector
Our Head Chef Michael Cole has put together some special ideas for you to choose from in our ‘Banqueting Menu Selector’. All vary in content and we hope that we can accommodate your needs.
We respectfully request that when creating your menu, you select one choice per course for the entire event. In addition, one Vegetarian alternative may also be selected. We are more than happy to assist those guests with special dietary requirements, other than vegetarian, as requested. The hotel will require exact numbers prior to the event. Although we understand this may be a little difficult to arrange at times, we feel it is necessary in order to deliver the speed of service expected by you and your guests.
The hire of our Dalton Suite is complimentary for an event of 60 or more guests and the Bowland Suite is complimentary for an event of 80 or more guests when choosing our at least Menu A. Should your occasion not reach these requirements, a minimal room hire charge will be made. A room hire charge will also be applicable if your event does not include all of the following: Drinks Package, Wedding Breakfast and Evening Buffet.
